The Tree

Once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl who set out on a days journey to find their

first Christmas tree. You see, they were married just a few short months ago and were both very excited to have their first Christmas together. They had a few Christmas ornaments but, they just didn't seem to work lying on the floor. They knew they had to buy a Christmas tree they have heard so much about for the ornaments to hang upon.

So, they wandered very far away from their warm, cozy home. They knew their journey would end up at a glitsening palace they had heard was called Home Depot.

The girl stepped inside the palace for the first time and was immediatly overcome by the sweet aroma of cut wood

She knew instantly that this was where they were to find their tree.

The boy took the girl by the hand and lead her to where the Christmas tree's would be. They wandered up and down the aisles smelling the fresh pine, but unable to locate their perfect first Christmas tree.

All the tree's they look upon where too short, too tall, too fat, too skinny, too brown, too green.

Until, GASP! At last, the saw this one. It was perfect! They knew this was the tree for them to take home.

The boy gave the girl the thumbs up as a signal to say, "We have FOUND it! Let us take it home and be merry. "

But first, the boy and girl had to give it to the Home Depot Helper's to trim.

It was such a glorious tree.

The Helper's snipped...

and clipped...

and sawed.

and finally the boy threw it onto his shoulder's to carry it to their blue carriage.

Where it would have a safe ride back to the boy and girl's lovely little home.

The tree came home and was placed in their living room quarters. A lovely tree just plain, but it needed some coloring...

So the boy and girl started to put sparkling lights around it.

And then on went their first ornament! (Thanks Mom!)

Soon the tree would be fully decorated!

With special little ornaments all around.

With the last finishing touch, it was finished!

And the boy and girl rested and enjoyed the lovely glowing light from the their first Christmas tree.
